October is my birth month, and I can say that it is one of my most memorable birthdays. It was not a big party, but I spent it with people I adore and love the most. Not to mention, the burnt hair...my sister gave me my favorite cake with 39 candles on it....yes 39! It is my age anyway. When I was blowing all 39 of it, my hair caught fire from the candle, good thing my friend was beside me, she saved the day, "my day!"
I love art, nature, traveling, Baking, singing and sunsets. Painting, photography,make-up and the likes. I am a mother... who loves life and living life to it's fullest.

He Loves to Sing!
This is Kyle, my one and only child. He is 16 now, and I am so proud of what he has become. He started singing when he was about a year and a half, no words yet but can carry out a tune. His first solo performance was when he was 4 years old, in a school's competition, and he won.
This is his first time to be invited to perform for a School Alumni fund-raising. He sang 3 songs that night, can't help feeling teary-eyed and so proud of my son.

How Do I Start.....and End.
"Art is not what you see, but what you make others see."
-Georgia O'Keefe

| It starts with my 36x25 blank canvass...and blank idea. It took me a while to think of my subject. What do I love to paint??? September 4, 2010 |

| Mama's garden is a place to look for subjects. One in bloom is the Vanda Orchid. Sketching done... |

I paint the background first because it has less details.
Almost done with my background, so excited to start on my subject.
Almost.....
It took me almost two hours from sketching up to this point (including TV breaks).
At last! The challenging part...
On to my fourth hour...I have to rest and recharge. Saving the best for last.
I use colors that I like, and I see to it that it is in harmony with the colors next to the subject.
At this point, I step back and get out of the way. As what they say,
"let the paint be paint!"

More of Me
"Every artist dips his brush in his own soul and paints his own nature into his pictures."
- Henry Ward Beecher
I called this "Purity", Painted in 2004.

This is my first time to do this kind of art....no sketching, straight on the canvass. I called this one "Free". I just feel that way every time I look at this.
"Change of Plan"
Painted in 2005, Anthurium for me is very challenging to paint of all the flowers.
I don't know. Real plan was to make these anthuriums look real from afar. But then, it didn't turn out right, so here it is...

I love painting.....
The Grand Canyon
This is my very first Acrylic painting on canvass. If I am not mistaken "Toto" was the student teacher at that time. He helped me with the mixing of colors. I was 19 when I had my first one-week workshop on Painting. Beginners luck!
This is my second painting. I would like to call it "Still". This is a reproduction from my teachers book. He asked me to paint this particular picture, my first time to do fruits, it is hard because it has to appear real. Painted on canvass using acrylic paint. Again....
Acrylics are extremely versatile and fast drying and can be used straight from the tube. Good for beginners, and is water-based.
My papa showed me a painting, it was on the back cover of a Reader's Digest, he asked me to try and make it for him. It was called "The Bird Man".
* a reproduction
Painted in 1999....no subject in mind, so I grabbed my mama's kitchen utensils and started painting, this took me an hour or two to finish.
In the Garden
I was so inspired one night ( I can't remember why?). Made my canvass and started to paint this yellow flower, did this painting in less than an hour. What I had in mind was, it has to be colorful, now I'm wondering was I so happy that moment??? hmmmm.
